Christianity is hard when we are entangled in sin, “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning” 2 Peter 2:20 (NKJV). Staying entangled in sin has consequences, “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment” Heb 10:26-27 (NKJV). Discipline can be found through the strength of Jesus Christ, “Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” 1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (NKJV). Faith is a journey that needs the endurance of Jesus Christ to complete, “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV) I pray that we will be freed from the entanglement of sin by keeping our eyes on Jesus, “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” Heb 12:2 (NKJV).
