The episode occurred while the child was playing at home, and his condition rapidly deteriorated, requiring immediate medical intervention. On arrival at the hospital, the child was in a critical state, necessitating intubation and mechanical ventilation to secure the airway and support breathing. Given the persistence and severity of the seizures, the child was placed on a combination of six anticonvulsant medications, reflecting the complexity of the condition and the resistance to standard treatments. Throughout the 10-day stay, the multidisciplinary team and experts in pediatric critical care, worked tirelessly to stabilize the child. After intensive management and gradual improvement, the child was successfully weaned off mechanical ventilation. With his condition stabilized and seizures under control, the child was discharged and now he is back to his normal life.
