Congratulations to DDS Commissioner Sarah Peterson, who has led the department since August 2024, and was officially appointed into the position earlier this month. We were thrilled to have Commissioner Peterson offer remarks at our Annual Conference, highlighting the importance of MDSC's conference and our vital community impact, and sharing DDS's mission to create, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with IDD to participate fully in their communities as well as important DDS initiatives. We have appreciated our collaboration with DDS over the past seven months on our lifespan initiative and are enthusiastic about continuing to work closely in the years ahead with Commissioner Peterson and her team!
