Through many workshops and interactive activities over the years, the phrase "Getting Over Our Selves" has for many either been really invigorating or really agitating. That's because we really are rather attached to our selves, even if that identity may be false. What’s the key for finding our True Self? First we have to see what does not actually ring true for us. That's what known as shadow work. Then we have the opportunity to practice letting go of the identities to which we are attached. What happens then? Something new will emerge that will always be an upgrade. Eventually, who we really are will shine forth. We just can't control the process or the outcomes. Therein lies the challenge to letting go.
