If you're still pricing by markup up then you're destroying your margin. Let me show you why... If you price a job and the labor and material cost is $10,000. Then you add a 30% markup, the price to the client is $13,000. No problem there. But the Gross Profit Margin is not 30%, it's actually 23%.
