🌷Happy Monday Everyone!🌷 We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.🐶 This week we are expecting some very warm weather, perfect for sunbathing but not so pawfect for our beloved doggies!☀️ ‼️Watch out for the clinical signs of heat stress/exhaustion/ stroke in dogs‼️ Stage 1 - Heat Stress 👅 Excessive panting 💦Pasty drool / saliva 🥄 Spoon tongue 🐾Cheeks pulled back, full teeth on display 🛑Bright red mucous membranes 🔥Hot to touch Stage 2 - Heat Exhaustion 💪❌Weakness or stumbling 🥵Uncontrollable panting 💧Significant thirst 🤮Vomit or diarrhoea 🍌Lack of skin elasticity 🫨Muscle Tremors Stage 3 - Heat Stroke 🐌Significant slowness or lack of coordination 🦮Weakness in hind end 🤔 Unresponsive or confused 😵‍💫Seizures 😮Shock or collapse To avoid any of the above, caution must be taken in the hot weather.
