Quick-Rescue Diver Course

It appears that the St.George, LA Fire Dept will be hosting a Quick-Rescue Diver course May 27, 28, 29. Some details are still being worked out, but due to the high confidence and close proximity of the course, we are opening the chance to enroll in the online portion of the training now. Cost for this course will be $374.00/pp. If you need rentals, we can help with that. If you are already certified as a diver, online training can be bypassed. If you are not a certified diver, the online work and day one 1 pool session will set you up to complete your Open Water Diver certification dives at a later date. This also opens you up to Advanced SCUBA (search and recovery, underwater navigation, night, deep, boat diving), Rescue Diver and Public Safety Diver. Upon completion of your 4 Open Water Diver certification dives, you can then apply for your Mission Specific Distinctive Specialty certification, Quick-Rescue Diver. Until completion of your 4 certification dives, Quick-Rescue Diver credentials will consist of a Mission Specific Distinctive Specialty Quick-Rescue Diver certificate of training. The Quick-Rescue Diver (QRD) course is the trademarked name of a course only offered by Gulf States Dive and Rescue, Paul Fraser and offered exclusively through IDEA. It is not the same as many of the rapid response training options currently found across the USA. NOT knocking those programs, but there are differences.
