Desert Dream #11 (Mabuasehube) - (28 February - 8 March 2026) This is it! Are you keen for a great of-the-grid adventure? This might be one of the greatest adventures you will ever undertake as we guide you on this 8-day Self-Drive Overland Camping tour into the heart of the wildest areas of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Is this the wildest place in Southern Africa? We think so... If you have heard of places like Mabuasehube (Mabua) and Mpayathutlwa (Mpaya), it means you are interested and you are ready to explore and discover one of the most famous parks in Southern Africa. We have visited these areas for many years and it's stunning scenery makes us return on a regular basis. We will guide you to incredible places with views that you will never forget an will travel through thousands of hectares of beautiful and unforgettable scenery. We are almost guaranteed to encounter the famous lions of Mabuasehube and definitely many other great experiences and fantastic views! This adventure and your experiences will create stories that you will tell for years to come; we promise… Remember, the camp sites here are all unfenced, and we will have regular visits by definitely hyenas and possibly lions and many other animals. This might be scary for most, but always exciting; this is an adventure… (Google says: Adventure = an unusual and exciting or daring experience) We guarantee this! You will need a 4×4 vehicle with low range and the tour is suitable for off-road camping trailers or caravans. Please call to discuss. All the campsites are rustic with no or minimal facilities. Long drop toilets and maybe one cold shower at Mpaya! We will meet on the first day at Molopo Lodge just outside the Kgalagadi National Park and from there travel through the park via Nossob to the Mabuasehube Game Reserve area. The tour will take us through some fantastic desert areas and ends back at Nossob 8 days later. The tour is self-catering, but we will propose a menu closer to the time.
