📽️🍿 The Broadway Cinema comes to Dailly! We have received funding by Foundation Scotland to bring the magic of cinema to rural communities across Ayrshire 🎉 The first event will be held in Dailly Community Hall on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March, with a packed weekend programme of pop-up cinema and an exclusive first oral history workshop co-hosted by our official filmmaker Gemma of Esther Morgan Photography! 🎥🎬 The event opens with a family-friendly screening of Robin Williams in comedy hit Jumanji on Saturday evening at 7pm 🐍🎲 On Sunday afternoon, the heritage portion of the event beings at 2pm with a presentation on the history of the Broadway and the other former cinemas of South Ayrshire, before our first ever oral history workshop commences with opportunities for visitors to share their memories of cinema-going, and contribute to our archives for future museum projects! 💬♥️ The weekend then closes with a 7pm screening of all-time classic starring Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump 🏃🎉 The event is free to attend, concessions will be made available from our team of volunteers, and the venue is fully accessible.
