After witnessing the great outpouring of affection from my followers after my previous post featuring this Elephant, I have decided, as Earthweek ends, to take an action that truly springs from the heart. I have arranged to remotely adopt this magnificent creature and make him part of my extended family. Perhaps this gentle giant, is truly the “Big Brother” I always wanted? His name is Sebakwe. He is forty years old; an elegant bull elephant and leader of the Jabulani Herd. I met him on a recent Safari Excursion to Africa His herd is a group of abandoned and orphaned elephants rescued, rehabilitated, and given a forever home where they all now live together. Every saved creature in this group has their own story of hardship, survival and eventual success.
