NGC 2264 Cone Nebula Astrophotography

🇮🇹 Chiudo l'anno con una grande regione di nebulosità diffuse, meglio nota come NGC 2264 o nebulosa Cono. Siamo nella costellazione dell'Unicorno a circa 2500 anni luce dal nostro sistema. Questa nebulosa ha delle caratteristiche interessanti, presenta una ventina di stelle blu che vanno a formare un ammasso aperto molto bello e una nebulosa scura al suo vertice che le conferisce il nome. Tutta la zona viva di idrogeno intorno è apprezzabile solo con fotografia a lunga esposizione ed è famosa poiché la sua forma ricorda quella di un albero di Natale. 🇬🇧 I close the year with a large region of diffuse nebulosity, better known as NGC 2264 or the Cone Nebula.
