Huge shoutout to Donna Keeler of Gadsden for entrusting us with the task of removing these gigantic oak trees that were towering over her stunning antique home. 💗💗💗 This was one of the most challenging tree jobs I’ve ever encountered in this town. Every single cut had to be executed flawlessly — and with a crane involved, there was simply no room for error. Now, some might think the danger stemmed from the proximity of the trees to the house — but that wasn't even the primary concern. The real challenge, was that each piece we cut had to be lowered with precision between a 35kV 3-phase power line, requiring a 10-foot minimum approach distance, with fiber optic and BellSouth lines on the opposite side — all squeezed into less than 20 feet of space. That setup left us with zero margin for mistakes. Nothing we handled weighed less than 1,800 lbs. Stump weighed in at 7800lbs and the big fork weighed in at a whopping 8300lbs. 🤯 What most people don’t grasp is just how dangerous this situation was, not only for the ground crew but especially for the crane operator. We aimed to wrap things up in one day, but around 3 PM the wind gusts kicked in. If a gust had caught a limb mid-air… well, there’s only so much you can control, forcing us to stop for the day. Fortunately, the next morning brought us clear skies, allowing us to complete the job safely and grant this extraordinary homeowner some much-needed peace of mind. Everything unfolded just as we had planned. 😁😍🥳😎 Even though this sweet customer had reached out to other tree services and were turned away, our team saw this as a job that could and did get done.
