SAT Malawi🇲🇼 participated in the validation of the revised Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Strategy (2024–2030) at the Bingu International Convention Centre. Led by the Ministry of Youth, the validation meeting marked a key milestone in Malawi’s efforts to strengthen coordination and systems that address the challenges facing AGYW across the country. The updated strategy represents a shift in approach, prioritising intersectional, youth-informed solutions to long-standing barriers. SAT Malawi played a pivotal role by providing both technical and financial support for the strategy review. In addition, SAT ensured that young people were actively involved in the process, reinforcing its commitment to Meaningful Youth Participation in the development of national policies and strategies that directly impact their lives. The Thari Programme is implemented by Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation partner entity, Adopt-a-School Foundation. Since launching as a pilot in eight Botshabelo schools, including four high schools and their feeder primary schools, Thari has made a tangible difference. Over 900 learners and caregivers have received counselling and early support. Schools report improved learner attendance, fewer behavioural incidents, and increased referrals of abuse cases to professional services. The Thari Programme offers a lifeline for vulnerable children and families. Thari is a strategic intervention rooted in healing and protection with a holistic approach that rests on three pillars: • Psychosocial support for learners and families • Multi-sectoral forums to respond to cases of abuse • Safe parks for vulnerable women and children #Dynamic #Building #Inclusive #Empowered #Society

عربي – English نظّمت مؤسسة سقيا، بالتعاون مع مؤسسة آشور العراقية للإغاثة والتنمية ودائرة الهجرة والمهجرين في الأنبار مؤتمر "العودة مع الأمل" بمحافظة الأنبار بمشاركة جماهيرية واسعة. تضمّن المؤتمر الخطابات الرسمية للمؤسسات المنظمة للمؤتمر وخطاب الحكومة المحلية ودائرة الهجرة والمهجرين في الأنبار، وبعد ذلك انطلقت فعاليات المؤتمر التي تضمّنت ملخّص عن المشروع، عرض قصص نجاح العائدين، جلستي نقاش حول "التحديات والفرص التي تواجه العائدين من مخيمات النزوح ودور المجتمع فيها" والجلسة الأخرى "دور الإعلام في تعزيز الجهود المبذولة من قبل الجهات الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني حول ملف العائدين" وأختتم المؤتمر بتوصيات تخص العائدين والاندماج والتأهيل وتعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي في محافظة الأنبار. هذا المؤتمر هو جزء من مشروع "العودة مع الأمل"، وذلك بدعم من الصندوق العالمي لمشاركة المجتمع وتعزيز قدرته على الصمود، وبتمويل من الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية. The Soqya Foundation, in cooperation with the ARD and the Department of Migration and Displacement in Anbar, organized the "Returning with the Hope" conference in Anbar Governorate with wide public participation. The conference included the official speeches of the organizing institutions, the local government and the Department of Migration and Displacement in Anbar, after which the conference activities began, which included a summary of the project, a presentation of success stories of returnees, two discussion sessions on "Challenges and opportunities facing returnees from displacement camps and the role of society in them" and the other session "The role of Media in enhancing the efforts made by government agencies and civil society organizations on the issue of returnees" and concluded with recommendations for returnees, integration, rehabilitation and promoting social cohesion in Anbar governorate.
