Toilet Paper
It's #NationalRecyclingWeek and we want to help make recycling easier for you! 💪Thank you for taking the time to sort your household waste and make a difference to our Queensland Environment! ♻
If you're not sure what can and can't go in the recycling, here are 5 common materials that you can keep in mind:
♻️ Paper and cardboard (e.g. office paper, egg cartons, toilet rolls, magazines)
♻️ Glass (e.g. sauce and jam jars, sauce and juice bottles)
♻️ Hard plastics (e.g., milk bottles, yoghurt tubs, shampoo bottles)
♻️ Steel (e.g. food tins, baby formula tins)
♻️ Aluminium (e.g. foil scrunched into a fist-sized ball, empty aerosol sprays, drink cans).
Remember to keep these items loose in your yellow lid bin, not in a bag.
Recycling capabilities vary by council. 📱 Still unsure of an item? Recycle Mate offers quick, reliable recycling information specific to your council. Simply scan or look up items you’re uncertain about.
