La drépanocytose est une maladie silencieuse, mais ses conséquences sont bruyantes. Elle touche près d’une personne sur trois et cause la mort de milliers d’enfants avant l’âge de 5 ans. Mais elle peut être évitée. Un simple geste suffit : le test d’électrophorèse. Du 23 au 27 juin 2025, des dépistages gratuits sont organisés dans tous les départements du Bénin. Ce dépistage cible prioritairement trois groupes : - Les nouveau-nés et les femmes enceintes, dans les maternités - Les enfants de moins de 5 ans, dans les services de pédiatrie - Les jeunes de 15 à 35 ans, dans les collèges, lycées et universités Rendez-vous donc dans le centre de santé le plus proche. Search efforts are underway for 21-year-old Aiden Waddle, still missing in the Gitanyow Lake area, 20 minutes north of Kitwanga, BC Aiden's truck and kayak were discovered near Kitwancool Lake on November 10, 2024. Volunteers are needed and asked to check in at the base camp to ensure everyone is accounted for and to bring boots, gloves, and warm clothing suited for cold, wet weather.
