The Liberal Party's housing "solution" is to let women raid their retirement savings for a house deposit, despite the fact that women already retire with up to 35% less super than men. This plan is asking women to borrow from their future. It will widen the superannuation gap, and experts warn it'll push housing prices up 10%. This is not a good plan. It's a short-term sugar hit with long-term consequences. If elected as your MP, I'll be pushing to legislate the National Housing and Homelessness Plan, support increased funding for affordable housing, and provide sustainable cost of living pressure relief so that people can save cash now for a deposit.
