We are delighted to be hosting our first Young Education Day in Campbeltown, hosted in partnership with Campbeltown Picture House and supported by Screen Scotland, bringing award winning animators @neil.boyle.film @kirkjameshendry and @jimparkyn to Argyll
This in-person event offers a unique opportunity for young people, schools, and teachers to engage with our education programme. Attendees will have the chance to watch films, try animation techniques, and learn about pathways into the film industry from leading professionals.
The day includes:
A FREE Schools Screening for Primary and Secondary students of Kensuke’s Kingdom, with introduction & Q & A from directors Neil Boyle and Kirk Hendry.

6.15pm – 7.15pm: Animation taster workshop for 12 – 15 years
A practical session introducing animation techniques, led by animators Jim Parkyn and Jack Lockhart.
6.30pm – 7.15pm: Teachers Session
A chance to hear more about our education programme, led by filmmaker Alasdair Satchel and Learning Coordinator Brodie Sim.
6.30pm – 7.30pm: Animation Academy Showreel
A chance to watch and celebrate some of the films made by young people we’ve worked with across Scotland, led by Jen Skinner and alumni Eoin Bruce.
7.30pm – 8.30pm Show case of shorts from Neil Boyle, Kirk Hendry and Jim Parkyn
An informal screening of shorts with the opportunity for questions and discussion with the filmmakers.
