At 14, I made the life-changing decision to study abroad in America, driven by the belief that education is the key to breaking free from poverty and helping others. Over the past ten years, I’ve dedicated my career to working with vulnerable patient populations, a mission that has shaped both my professional journey and personal values. I have loved this country and have called it home for more than 20 years. During the early planning phase of the clinic, while visiting Virginia, I became friends with a family member’s neighbors who serve in the Air Force and National Guard and work at the Pentagon. They were among the kindest individuals I had ever met, and their generosity left a lasting impression on me. When I returned to Chicago, I knew exactly what I had to do: give back to a country that had given so much to my family and me. Today, I’m honored to share that our clinic is now in-network with TRICARE. We are ready and eager to serve the brave men and women of our military by providing high-quality psychiatric care.
