Unique chorus
Can you believe that just beyond the towering warehouse district along I-255 in Madison County remains the wild beauty of the Knoll Family Wildlife Sanctuary and Poag Sand Prairie?
These lands and the incredible, unique species that call them home, like the state-threatened Illinois chorus frog and the Ornate box turtle (pictured here at Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary), are conserved forever because of folks like you who care. Sanctuary is right.
With less than 5% of land in Illinois conserved, wild places like these must be protected from the ongoing pressures of development.
