The Loomba Foundation began with a mission to educate 100 children of poor widows in Delhi and has since evolved into a global movement empowering widows worldwide.
Initially focused on advocacy and support for widows in India, the Foundation has now empowerd over 20,000 widows through vocational training and sustanable development programmes in various sectors. It addresses poverty, discrimination, and social exclusion, and has expanded its impact to countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Chile, South Africa, Malawi, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Syria, and Kenya.
The Foundation strives to empower widows, helping them overcome adversity and reclaim their dignity and independence.
