Well, here’s something you don’t see every day! LOL, what is the most unusual bird that has visited your feeders? For our friend Jim, it was this turkey. Jim says he often sees turkeys in his yard and they will eat food that drops on the ground, but they don’t generally perch on his pole! Nice shot Jim! Thanks for sharing with us! Nice feeder set up Jim. I’m not familiar with the pole, but certainly know those feeders and foods. The feeder on the left is our WBU Quick-Clean XL Seed Tube. It has 6 feeder ports and holds 3 ½ quarts of food. Jim has his filled with safflower, which is a favorite food of cardinals, House Finches, chickadees, titmice, nuthatches and Mourning Doves. Squirrels, starlings and grackles tend not to eat it. The feeder on the far right looks almost identical to that on the left except it is black and not green and is treated with an antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of mold and bacteria. Jim fills the feeder with our No Mess Low Millet blend of shell-free sunflower chips, white millet and shelled peanuts. There is something for everybirdie in this tasty blend which is probably why the feeder needs refilling! Jim is feeding our large Woodpecker Blend seed cylinder on our WBU Vertical Seed Cylinder Feeder. Woodpecker Blend seed cylinders are made from tree nuts, black oil sunflower seeds, peanuts, and Bark Butter Bits (suet nuggets) and are great for attracting nut eating birds such as woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees and even cardinals. That’s our Bark Butter Tub in the wooden feeder with the slanted roof. Bark Butter is our trademarked suet and birds love it! In fact, over 160 bird species have been seen enjoying Bark Butter – I bet that turkey would love to have a taste!
