Some Friday reflections... Finding Myself, One Adventure at a Time
If I’m honest, I’ve been feeling a bit lost recently.
Not in a dramatic, rock-bottom kind of way, but in that quieter sense where something just doesn’t quite sit right. My work is going well, I live in an amazing place, I have good friends and relationship.
But I've had questions circling my mind:
🤔 What is truly important to me?
🤔 Who do I want to coach?
🤔 How do I actually want to live my life?
I wanted real answers. I wanted to feel that deep down, grounded sense of knowing.
But I also had this fear that I might never find it - that I’d always be circling, always searching. What is "it" anyway?
☺️ I decided to give myself space.
I didn’t really know if it would help, but I started carving out time for nature and adventure - places where I felt like I could breathe more freely.
At first, nothing much happened. I’d go for walks or take trips, and I’d come back still feeling unsure and a little tangled up inside.
But over time, something started to shift.
👀 It wasn’t a single, life-changing epiphany.
👀 It was more like tiny drops of clarity, gathering slowly.
👀 Each time I stepped into nature or let myself get lost in an adventure, I’d find another little piece of myself.
👀 It was subtle, and often I didn’t even notice it until later. And then suddenly things are falling into place!
I’ve learned that my answers don’t come when I’m pushing for them.
They come when I’m not looking - when I’m out in the world, away from my desk, away from the need to figure it all out.
I’ve had to learn to trust that process, even when it feels uncomfortable or when I’m not sure if it’s “working.”
❤️🔥 I’m sharing this because I know how it feels to be in that uncertain place.
❤️🔥 It can be unsettling.
❤️🔥 But maybe, just maybe, the answers you’re looking for aren’t on the other side of more thinking or planning.
❤️🔥 Maybe they’re out there, waiting for you to create the space where they can rise to the surface - slowly, imperfectly, but in their own time.
