Today, Burkina Faso introduced a powerful, safe, and effective tool to reduce typhoid cases in the country — typhoid conjugate vaccines (TCVs)! Children younger than 15 years old are most at risk for typhoid. More than 10 million children between the ages of 9 months and 14 years will be vaccinated during a one-week campaign, after which TCVs will be available routinely at the 9-month visit for all children.
