Job Summary:

Pay & Hours:
- .8 FTE - 32 Hours Per Week
- 2 -12 hours shifts & 1 - 8 hour shift

Essential Job Functions:
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up sterile table with instruments, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure
• Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure
• Keeps accurate records throughout the procedure and communicates them to circulator
• Properly cares for specimens
• Holds retractors or instruments as directed by the surgeon
• Sponges or suctions operative site
• Applies electrocautery to clamps on bleeders
• Cuts suture material as directed by the surgeon
• Connects drains to suction apparatus
• Prepares and applies sterile dressing
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants
• Helps in draping sterile field
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure
• Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
• Assists other members of team with terminal cleaning of room
• Assists in prepping room for the next patient
• Regular and prompt work-site attendance
• Performs other duties as they are assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge & Ability:
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Degree from Surgical Technologist program
• Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital environment is preferred
• BLS certification is required upon hire
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
• Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards

Essential Job Functions:
• The Case Manager conducts medical record reviews using specific indicators and criteria as approved by medical staff, The Joint Commission, CMS, and other state and federal agencies while ensuring physician and nurse documentation meet set standards
• Understand utilization review/case management rules and guidelines to ensure compliance
• The Case Manager educates members of the healthcare team on case management and managed care concepts and serves as the patient advocate and enhances a collaborative relationship with the healthcare team, physicians, patients and families to maximize the patient’s and family’s ability to make informed healthcare decisions
• This position reinforces/facilitates patient/family education, to enhance a positive discharge transition
•Investigates and reports adverse occurrences, and performs staff education related to resource utilization, discharge planning and psychosocial aspects of healthcare delivery
• The RN Case Manager will assist PI RN with data gathering as needed to support regulatory reporting
• Works collaboratively with Social Workers to support meeting psycho-social needs of patients and families or care givers
• Serve as a resource and mentor for case management and UR staff, offering guidance on complex cases and review criteria
• Coordinate with providers, case managers, and payers to facilitate appropriate level-of-care determinations
• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews as needed, using evidence-based guidelines and organizational protocols
• Assist in training new staff and developing ongoing education for the case management and UR team
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve discharge planning and UR processes
• Identify and escalate issues related to delays in care, denial trends, or gaps in documentation
• Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement initiatives and data reporting
• Attend interdisciplinary rounds and relevant departmental meetings
• Assist with Inpatient PI/chart audits, medication audits, antibiotic audits, unit-specific tracking tools
• Support and facilitate initiatives enhancing patient satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge & Ability:
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Current licensure as RN, in the State of Wisconsin required, BSN preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in Utilization Review required
• BLS certification is required upon hire
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrates skills in verbal, written and electronic English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist is an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical Technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up sterile table with instruments, equipment, and
medications/solutions needed for procedure
• Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure
• Keeps accurate records throughout the procedure and communicates them to
circulator
• Properly cares for specimens
• Holds retractors or instruments as directed by the surgeon
• Sponges or suctions operative site
• Applies electrocautery to clamps on bleeders
• Cuts suture material as directed by the surgeon
• Connects drains to suction apparatus
• Prepares and applies sterile dressing
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before
incision is closed
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants
• Helps in draping sterile field
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure
• Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
• Assists other members of team with terminal cleaning of room
• Assists in prepping room for the next patient
• Regular and prompt work-site attendance
• Performs other duties as they are assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge & Ability:
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred
• Five (5) or more years' experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital
environment is required
• BLS certification is required upon hire
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own
professional advancement
• Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and
effective patient care and to meet documentation standards

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Utilization Review oversees and coordinates utilization review functions. Essential Job Functions:
• The Case Manager conducts medical record reviews using specific indicators and criteria as approved by medical staff, The Joint Commission, CMS, and other state and federal agencies while ensuring physician and nurse documentation meet set standards
• Understand utilization review/case management rules and guidelines to ensure compliance
• The Case Manager educates members of the healthcare team on case management and managed care concepts and serves as the patient advocate and enhances a collaborative relationship with the healthcare team, physicians, patients and families to maximize the patient’s and family’s ability to make informed healthcare decisions
• This position reinforces/facilitates patient/family education, to enhance a positive discharge transition
•Investigates and reports adverse occurrences, and performs staff education related to resource utilization, discharge planning and psychosocial aspects of healthcare delivery
• The RN Case Manager will assist PI RN with data gathering as needed to support regulatory reporting
• Works collaboratively with Social Workers to support meeting psycho-social needs of patients and families or care givers
• Serve as a resource and mentor for case management and UR staff, offering guidance on complex cases and review criteria
• Coordinate with providers, case managers, and payers to facilitate appropriate level-of-care determinations
• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews as needed, using evidence-based guidelines and organizational protocols
• Assist in training new staff and developing ongoing education for the case management and UR team
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve discharge planning and UR processes
• Identify and escalate issues related to delays in care, denial trends, or gaps in documentation
• Collaborate with leadership on quality improvement initiatives and data reporting
• Attend interdisciplinary rounds and relevant departmental meetings
• Assist with Inpatient PI/chart audits, medication audits, antibiotic audits, unit-specific tracking tools
• Support and facilitate initiatives enhancing patient satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge & Ability:
• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Current licensure as RN, in the State of Wisconsin required, BSN preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in Utilization Review required
• BLS certification is required upon hire
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrates skills in verbal, written and electronic English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
