Happy Sober 2025 ! I sat on my floor alone last night looking at an old bottle of wine and cider from trips years ago and debating on having a drink or 3 or the entire bottle, unashamed. I could have told myself so many reasons to justify it as I put it up and walked away. Why? because that's not what I promised myself years ago. I promised myself I would only drink if the 1 drink paired well with the meal I was having and I had no ulterior motives or feelings behind it. I had plenty of ulterior motives and feelings lately. Staying up late is easily accessible tonight, getting drunk or high is easily accessible tonight, and dare I say widely supported for today but sober is a very different choice. SOBER IS A BOLD STATEMENT. (If you're not bold enough yet to make that statement then at least schedule a sober driver.) What will your 2025 statement be to the world ?
