Seiko to Exit Thailand, Launches Clearance Sale from ฿1,200
Bangkok, June 25, 2025 — Seiko Holdings Corporation has officially announced it will shut down all retail operations in Thailand, following prolonged financial struggles in the market.
In a press release, Mr. Kenji Nakamura, Managing Director for Asia, stated: “We have tried adjusting our strategies and reducing operational costs to maintain business in Thailand. However, weak consumer demand and high expenses in 2025 left us with no choice but to withdraw.”
According to an internal report accessed by The Edge Asia, Seiko’s revenue in Thailand dropped more than 75% in just the first five months of 2025, while inventory levels continued to rise with no short-term recovery in sight.
To minimize losses, Seiko Thailand has started a large-scale clearance campaign, covering a wide range of entry-level and mid-range watches. Among the highlights is the Seiko GMT “Coke”, now available from only ฿1,200 — far below its original price.

A distributor representative confirmed that only 200 pieces of Seiko GMT “Coke” remain in stock, and the clearance offer will close once orders are fulfilled.
