Many blogs and posts have wrongly claimed and have been posting that a Catholic priest and a Catholic reverend sister left their vows and got married This is Mr. Dominic Bassey and Miss Festa This is NOT true. ❎️Mr. Dominic and Miss Festa are not a Catholic priest and not a Catholic reverend sister. ❎️ Their wedding was celebrated under a Christian group known as the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, which was founded by Olumba Olumba Obu. This church is not part of the Roman Catholic Church. Some people have used these attached pictures and stories cooked by bloggers to mock the Catholic Church, saying things like: ❇️ “Instead of pretending and committing secret sin, is it not better they marry?” This kind of comment is wrong, misleading, and unfair. Let us be clear: In the Catholic Church, becoming a priest or sister is a serious commitment, made freely and with full understanding. ✅️ If ever anyone leaves, the Church will follows a proper and official process. Any Reverend sister who took a final vow can make a decision to leave but it will not be easy for her. Because the process is not a day journey. Especially if that congregation is under papal right ✅️. In fact both Papal right and Diocese right ✅️ as far as you have taken the final vow. ✅️ I think the same with a Catholic priest. ✳️ I stand to be corrected Sharing false information, mocking Catholic vocations, or using people’s pictures to insult the Catholic curch is harmful and disrespectful. ✴️ Please verify any story before posting or sharing.
