Help others reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost,
Learn new things and apply diverse knowledge and skills to an ever-changing set of problems and questions,
Work both alone and in teams and are good at collaborating with internal and external partners,
Create engaging outreach campaigns,
Provide in-person and telephone assistance to businesses, schools, and the general public, and
Work with municipalities to improve recycling information and services.
Qualified candidates will have:
Excellent written and oral communications skills, including attention to detail,
Interest in working with diverse audiences such as underserved communities, businesses, schools, haulers, municipalities, and residents,
Experience developing and implementing outreach and education programs that motivate action, including presentations to the public, and
Patience and motivation to tackle new challenges without waiting to be asked.
Knowledge of solid waste, waste reduction, recycling, and composting is a plus.
