🎉 Thrilled to announce the successful commissioning of the Qeleni Village and Wainikeli District School Surface Water System in Taveuni! Beautiful chiefly welcoming happening now ❤️ 💧 This groundbreaking project, funded by the European Union under the Inclusive Climate Action for Fiji (ICAF) initiative, is bringing clean, sustainable water to over 500 people, including individuals with disabilities. 🤝 This first-of-its-kind system on Taveuni, built with circular economy principles, marks a significant step towards climate resilience and improved public health. 🌍 We celebrated World Water Day 2025 by witnessing the impact of FJD 80,000 invested in climate adaptation, inclusive resilience, and sustainable development. 💙 Special thanks to Her Excellency Barbara Plinkert, Ambassador of the European Union in the Pacific, Ms. Cate Pleass from VAIWAI Natural Artesian Water, Ms. Ambalika Devi from Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, traditional leaders, government representatives, and the incredible community members for their support! 🙌 This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and community-driven solutions.
