I have been feeling the deep desire to be a part of a supportive, authentic, sincere, real community. I know that I am not alone in this longing. Community is considered a basic human need and is vital to our wellbeing. I am offering from my heart this invitation to join me in cultivating community as prenatal care. Sit with other pregnant women to reflect on the journey towards birthing new life. Be witnessed in your experience. Be held. Be inspired. Be nourished. Birth is a major rite of passage that requires feeling supported by your community. Our technocratic medical system is failing women in birth. It has taken the Divine, the mystical, the spiritual and replaced it with sterile, calculated, managed. Let’s bring the sacredness back to birth through connection- women supporting women. True prenatal care doesn’t happen in a doctors visit. It is what you do every day for your self. Let belonging in community be a part of that care! I have always believed in ‘being the change you wish to see in the world’ and I am showing up to the calling. Join me? What to expect.. we will begin with a moment of centering and brief introductions, moving into reflection on a relevant topic with space for each woman to share.
