Innovative park
The last couple days have been pretty innovative. United Prairie Foundation partnering with Fargo Parks utilizing Bobcat equipment moved some super sized prairie plugs into a Kiwanis garden at Mickelson Park. We finished up the project with a group of corporate Bobcat employees who augmented the super size plugs with locally sourced and grown red River Valley Prairie plants. The City of Fargo is a leader in implementing authentic local ecotype Prairie into their landscape. This should be emulated in every community through the world. There is no doubt that United Prairie Foundation with enough support can fulfill our mission of making Prairie common again. It takes great cooperation like this project!
