The Pigment Guild Hall, also known as the Pingyao Guild Hall, is located in Dongcheng District. Established during the Ming Dynasty by pigment and tung oil merchants from Shanxi, it stands as one of the city's earliest commercial guild halls, featuring a "temple in front, hall in back" layout, a common architectural style in Ming and Qing guild halls. Today, the hall serves as a cultural venue, hosting performances such as folk art, acrobatics, Beijing Opera, and cross talk, attracting both locals and tourists and enriching Beijing's cultural landscape.
