“I’d like to share a personal story that motivated me to pursue a career in fitness and health. Before this, I was a Mechanical Engineer graduate student working as an Operations Manager for a Building Management company in Melbourne. When I returned back to Indonesia in early 2020, I found out that my mom was trying her best to make a lifestyle change to deal with her diabetes. However, the diet program she was given with was general and too strict. I could see that she was not enjoying the process at all. I decided to do more research about diabetes, hoping that I can provide a more personalized method for her. Long story short, I was able to help my mom in managing her diabetes through lifestyle changes, including nutrition and exercise. This experience led to her hbA1c level returning to normal without the help of medicine. This experience sparked my passion for helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, inspiring me to pursue my current career.” - Andy F.
