It’s funny how life works. How you can love something, but not give voice to it. How you can put it down as easily as you pick it up. How fleeting inspiration can be. I’ve always loved writing and it’s always been part of my life in one way or another. I started this instagram account back in 2019 and for a brief period of time I felt creative and inspired and I posted quite a bit. And then one day, as quickly as I started, I stopped. I can admit that for the last few years, I’ve thought about starting it up again more than a few times, but the underlying motivation and drive just wasn’t there. The words, weren’t there. Yes, I was still journaling and satisfying my love of writing through reading the work of others, but creatively I felt like it didn’t belong to me. At the beginning of this year I took a solo trip, and that changed my life in more ways than one. On one of the last nights of my trip, the words just flowed into me and I immediately had to pull out my phone and type them into my notes app so I wouldn’t lose them. And just like that, I was ready to write creatively again. Sometimes it’s takes a moment, a person, or a place to light the spark again. For me, it was a bit of all three. So after all this time, I’m back, sharing my words with you, whoever you are, but more importantly, I’m sharing them for me.🤍
