SOCIAL MEDIA AND MENTAL HEALTH ~ Meet the Panelists
Katie Azevedo, EdD
*Owner and Founder, Azevedo Consulting and Results Learning Center
Dr. Katie Azevedo, an Idaho native, has worked in education for over 20 years holding a variety of positions including a classroom teacher, instructional coach, professional development facilitator, research assistant, adjunct professor, and state-level director. Her focus is to promote positive learning environments through academic and behavioral strategies that increase the learning and achievement for all students.
In 2020, Katie created Azevedo Consulting, specializing in mental health and positive behavior strategies for national, state, and local education agencies and mental health providers. In 2021, Katie launched the Results Learning Center (RLC). RLC is an online institute with on-demand learning tools for educators and mental health clinicians. These tools are organized in courses. Each course includes lessons with short and engaging instructional videos, paired with participant guides to direct the reflection and planning process. The content provided in the Results Learning Center is evidence-based and grounded in implementation science with the goal of not just learning but taking action. Much of her time is also focused on writing federal grants and supporting this work with the goal of increased capacity and sustainability at the local, regional, and state level.
Kim Knudson, DO, MBA
*Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, St. Luke’s Children
Dr. Knudson is a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who is an Idaho native. Following completion of his undergraduate education, Dr. Knudson moved back East where he completed medical school in Tennessee before completing his residency and fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Knudson is currently treating youth at St. Luke's Children's Center for Neurobehavioral medicine in Nampa/Boise. He also serves as the medical director for St. Luke's Children's Behavioral and Mental Health. He has experience in caring for patients through all life stages and development.
