Ever wondered what convicts did for fun… or why sailors wave colourful flags? We found out, last weekend, when we visited Cockatoo Island, Sydney Harbour and tried their new family tour: ‘Our day at Cockatoo Island’!
Using our illustrated family tour booklet – just $5 from the island’s visitor centre – we explored the island from top to bottom and enjoyed loads of fun activities including a game of quoits! Plus, we got to know Burriburri the whale, the island’s White’s Seahorse colony and an ancient amphibian.
As always, the trip to and from the island by ferry was a breeze (and scenic too). Oh, and if you spotted our ‘I visited Cockatoo Island’ tote in the video, it’s available (while stock lasts) for just $12.
PROMO: Buy the booklet between 5 and 20 July for a chance to win a camping voucher. T&Cs apply.
