Show up for your clients, hold it down, practice non-judgment, offer a clinical perspective, help them manage their expectations and most importantly, go to the ends of the earth to make it so they have every resource, tool, contact or strategy needed to be successful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And when it comes to online business, content generation, social media, etc. resist the temptation to micromanage the people in your circle: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉Don’t try to micromanage when people invest with you. 👉Don’t be upset if they don’t take action. 👉Don’t take it personally if they go at their pace. 👉Don’t worry about unfollows. 👉Don’t stress about unsubscribes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DO GOOD WORK and then let the chips fall. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m here to build long-tail relationships. Invest now, invest later, invest never. From Overwhelmed Mom to Empowered Entrepreneur - My Journey to Freedom! Fresh off unpaid maternity leave and still navigating postpartum, I found myself right back at my desk, back on the phones, drained in every sense of the word. All my PTO was gone, and the only thing I could think about was my brand-new baby. I was so distracted, so heartbroken, and if I’m being honest, almost jealous of the daycare lady. She got to spend the days with him, watching all the little “firsts” that I so desperately wanted to see. 💔 I was five years into what was supposed to be my “forever” career, having worked my way up the corporate ladder step by step. I had put in the late nights, the long hours, the hard work. Day in and day out, I was helping other people solve their problems—yet here I was, unable to figure out my own. How could my priorities shift so drastically after having a baby? How could there be unpaid maternity leave? How could there be so little empathy for new mothers in the corporate world? And how did people stay in the same career for 40+ years, trading their time for a measly two weeks of vacation each year? Was it just me? 🤷‍♀️ For a while, I thought it was. Maybe I was too idealistic about how life should be. Maybe I was too nervous to try something new, too afraid of the digital world, too out of touch with what I really wanted. I felt like I’d been living with my head in the clouds. These thoughts kept running through my mind… Then came September 27—a date I’ll never forget. My child was sick for what felt like the hundredth time, and I was desperate to be there for him. I begged my boss to let me work from home, so I could be by his side. I prayed for empathy, for understanding—just this once. Instead, I got a cold, hard “No. You can only use PTO.” So I did. That morning, as I walked out of the office, I felt something snap. I couldn’t keep living like this, letting someone else dictate when I could be there for my own child. I couldn’t keep sacrificing my family time, my sanity, my health for a job that didn’t even see me as a whole person, just another worker in a cubicle. Three hours a night with my family wasn’t enough. Living for the weekends wasn’t enough. Trying to cram in all the family time, errands, and housework in two short days wasn’t enough. Does any of this sound familiar? Something in me just knew that there was a way to have the best of both worlds… I just hadn’t found it yet! What I found opened my eyes to a whole new world! In this world, I was able to be the version of a working mother I pictured in my mind everyday as I headed back to my 9-5 with just an ache in my heart. The mom that was able to be with her child as much as possible without sacrificing, her hard earned PTO or therefore lack of since I had to give it all away from maternity leave 😢 The mom that was able to build generational wealth for her family and invest in not only her future, but theirs as well. Sounds too good to be true right? I thought so at first too! I mean, how many things can one explore in this onLine space before throwing in the towel 🫠 But I knew the life that I wanted so desperately, the life I dreamed about and envisioned for my family wasn’t going to be behind the computer screen stuck in a 4 x 4 cubicle. So I took strides to a different career… One where I could show up, put in the hours in the cracks of my own day and build my business around my busy life .
