Capped off my 2024 with a run. Covered 20.25kms to show grace for the coming year. Today, is a day of culmination, from all the things we chose to do and all the things the world poured unto us this year. To the things we can control and to those we can’t. Celebrate! May the New Year bring hope for each and everyone of us, and may it be bearable for those who are carrying a heavy load. The last Sunday of the year 2024: Congratulations, friends, and to God be the glory for making this a reality for all of us. As many prepare for the crossover night, you and I will also be part of it. This year will not see our end; rather, we will see the end of this year. Embrace God’s Newness The past is behind you. Whether it was full of triumphs or struggles, don’t let it define your future. God specialises in fresh starts. Like a potter reshaping clay, He is ready to mould your life into something beautiful this year. 2. Trust in His Guidance Life can sometimes feel like a wilderness—confusing, overwhelming, and uncertain but God promises to make a way. This year, commit to seeking Him in prayer and His Word. His guidance will be your compass, lighting the path even in the darkest moments. 3. Step Out in Faith Streams in the wasteland are miraculous, but they don’t come without faith. This year, take bold steps toward the dreams that God has placed in your heart. Even if they seem impossible, remember that God is the God of the impossible. He equips those that He calls. This year holds incredible promise, not because of what we can do, but because of what God can do through us. Stay close to Him, and let every step forward be guided by His love and power. Each life that must exist on earth is assigned a number of different situations that it must go through: some pleasant, others not so much; but in addition to this truth, we should know that we can increase or decrease these situations at will. It is true that no life will be a perpetual bed of roses, but it is also true that there is a limit to its accompanying thorns, and that same limit will seek to be increased by our adversary so that we do not fulfill the purpose that our Creator has determined for us. In this new year I want to be brave. I do not want to evade the thorns that God has for me, since that would prevent me from taking advantage of what He wants to teach me through them; but in the same way, I also want to stop discovering, accessing and experiencing the roses that God has determined to populate my garden. I don't want to be a failed project, someone who one day reaches heaven and there realizes everything she could have had or achieved, and she didn't do it just because she didn't believe God or did not make an effort to carry out what God put in her hands. In this 2025, let us remember what God has promised us, let us focus on what we have dreamed of and reach out to achieve it. Don't accept more problems than you have to live with, but don't stop achieving the good that belongs to you either. May God give us wisdom in this 2025.
