🚨Backed by a £12 million cash injection from the new Labour government, West Midlands Police will recruit an extra 150 neighbourhood police officers. 👮‍♂️ With the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, every single neighbourhood in Birmingham, including Nechells will have a named and contactable police officer. 🚓In addition, 139 existing serving police officers will be redeployed into neighbourhood policing roles, while there will also be an additional 20 new PCSOs. 🚔This will help tackle anti-social behaviour, reduce crime on our high streets, and make our communities feel safe again after years of neglect.
