This Earth Day, we’re reflecting on how far funeral service has come. 🌎 When Ramsey Creek Preserve opened in 1998, it became the first natural burial ground in the United States — nearly 20 years after the first Earth Day. At the time, it was a bold and unfamiliar idea: no embalming, no concrete vaults, no metal caskets. Just a body returned gently to the earth. Today, that idea is no longer radical — it’s growing.
