At Missouri Mariners, we’re sounding the alarm—winning isn’t everything, and it shouldn’t be. We are a baseball and softball development program rooted in honesty, effort, and growth. We’re in it for the long haul, not just one season. Our Program is Built on Real Experience Gerrion Grim, one of our co-founders, lives what we preach. A 2014 MLB Draft pick by the Baltimore Orioles, Gerrion started his journey as a pitcher on scholarship at the University of Missouri in 2012, Mizzou’s first year in the SEC. He later transferred to Jefferson College in 2013, was told he wasn’t good enough to play the field—and then proved everyone wrong when he was drafted as an outfielder the very next year. Gerrion played in SLABA, YMCA, SPAA, OCAC, and Missouri Elite, founded by the late Nick Pearson. He knows what it means to grind, believe in the process, and beat the odds. “It’s not who you play for—your name holds no weight. It’s the action of what you do that gets you seen.
