It's raining, its pouring— and the autumn leaves continue to fall! In your garden, leave the leaves, but what if they're in your storm drain?
Fallen leaves can clog up local storm drains. When clearing out and moving around piles of leaves, we recommend putting them in paper bags, bins, or letting them mulch in your lawn and garden beds. Clearing leaves from street gutters and storm drains keeps stormwater from becoming stagnant in your neighborhood.
