Kirtan is a classic meditation practice that helps focus and relax our wandering minds by singing sacred chants. Beginners, as are those who might be hesitant to sing, are warmly welcomed. This is a safe and welcoming environment that supports participants through any learning curve. Song sheets will be provided. Our practice together will conclude with the sharing of prasad, provided by the organizer.

What it's all about: Kirtan is a call and response musical meditation from the yoga tradition, considered the most potent form of meditation in this day and age. Bathing in and singing these powerful transcendental sound vibrations cleanses the heart and the mind and awakens a sense of deep inner peace. Details: The evening starts with a guided breathing practice and a resonant mantra circle that takes you deep into a meditative space. Then, sing along with ancient mantras in a call and response format. During the night, our guest speaker will share yoga wisdom insights about the secret to a peaceful heart and mind.
