Marking our first 100 days in office, and I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity given to me by the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to serve the good people of Kano State in this capacity. These past weeks have been nothing short of transformative. Together with my dedicated team at the Ministry of Environment, we have hit the ground running—committed to restoring environmental dignity, promoting sustainability, and improving the lives of our people. I'm proud to highlight some of our key achievements so far: Developed and launched the Kano State Climate Change Policy – a strategic roadmap to guide resilient, community-driven environmental development in the state. Commenced strict enforcement of the 2022 Environmental Law – establishing a zero-tolerance stance against illegal dumping, pollution, and all forms of environmental degradation. Introduced the 2025 Environmental & Waste Management Regulations – setting a new standard for waste collection and processing while strengthening public-private partnerships. Initiate the development of Kano State Climate Change Action Plan These achievements are just the beginning. We remain committed to sustainable development, innovative environmental practices, and inclusive governance. I thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, for his unwavering support and vision. To the people of Kano: this is your victory.
