～The largest rose garden in Tokyo～ 【Jindai Botanical Gardens】 Jindai Botanical Gardens, located about 20km west of central Tokyo, is one of the largest rose gardens in the city. In the garden, which still retains the image of Musashino, you can enjoy the beauty of the plants and flowers throughout the four seasons. This was a nursery for growing Tokyo roadside trees, but after the war it was opened to the public as Jindai Green Space, and in 1961 it was renamed Jindai Botanical Gardens, opening as the only botanical garden in Tokyo. The rose garden has about 400 varieties and about 5,200 roses planted. It is divided into three areas: a sunk garden where you can see modern roses, a wild species/old rose garden, and an International Rose Competition flowerbed. Every year, many people visit to see the roses in May and October. If you are visiting Tokyo during this time, it is recommended that you visit.
