Paying my final respects to President Jimmy Carter tonight, lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda. We filed past the casket, with a service member from each branch forming the honor guard. It was solemn and beautiful. We signed the condolence book and received the condolence cards, fearured here. Someone pointed out that Caleb and me were in the livestream on ABC News, and you could see us in the bottom right corner of the screen. This was an incredibly moving experience and I was proud to see our 39th president near the end of his journey before burial.
