Gareth Lockrane is one of the most prominent and respected flautists on the UK music scene. He can be seen in multiple setting s including his own big band and his Grooveyard Quintet. Comfortable in all idioms he is also much in demand as a session recording artist. Gareth has performed and recorded with Jack DeJohnette, Bheki Mseleku, Kate Williams, Hans Koller, Sirius B, Natalie Williams, Tom Richards Jazz Orchestra, The James Taylor Quartet, Gwilym Simcock Nonet and big band, Paul Booth, NYJO (also contributing many compositions and arrangements), Pete King, Anita Wardell, Georgia Mancio and The Pasedena Roof Orchestra. He is also heavily involved in teaching and education with a career spanning all the UK music colleges and conservatoires. Guitarist Dan Waldman has paid dues both in Europe and the USA performing as a sideman with artists such as Jason Marshall, Bean Clemons, Mavis Swan Poole, Brotherhood of Breath, Gareth Lockrane, Grupo Lokito and on recordings released by Acid Jazz, Jazz Refreshed and others.
