Service for 13. 56 exquisite crystal pieces in total dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Very rare to find a complete antique Lobmeyr set this large! The color of the glasses is Lobmeyr’s stunning “Patrician Gold Lustre”. It is so fine and luminescent that the pieces actually glow. They are absolutely gorgeous! If interested, I would be happy to send more photos to show them off. The set is made of Lobmeyr’s famous ultra-thin muslin glass /crystal that is mouth blown by expert artisans in Vienna using beech wood moulds so delicate that the rims are only one millimetre thick. HAND APPLIED ENAMEL - Hand-painted, hand-applied white enamel monograms with double border in subtle red & gold. Monogram history below. Formatted in the traditional Lobmeyr monogram style with the letters layered on top of each other. Lobmeyr was known for making custom monogram sets for wealthy clientele. SET INCLUDES: 1 Wine Decanter 10 Wine glasses 7 Sherry glasses 13 Water/lemonade glasses 6 Bowls (trifle or sorbet dish) 6 Saucers w/monogram 13 Saucers w/ no monogram —————- 56 pieces Total Each piece (other than the 13 extra saucers) accentuated with a hand-painted enamelled monogram. In climate-controlled storage for the past 50 years. Majority of pieces are in perfect condition - but a very few (I believe 4) have teeny not visible chips on the rims.
