Friday's Interior Tip 🔷 5 Easy Steps to Create Your Colour Scheme
1. Pick Your Inspiration: Start with your favorite art, wallpaper, or fabric. Let it guide your colour choices, just like I did with my mood board.
2. Connect the Colours: Use cushions, fabrics for curtains, or other design elements to link the colours from your inspiration piece. In my case, I connected my cushions with my 'In the Garden' painting.
3. Choose a Rug: Find a rug that features colours from your inspiration. You can go for calm tones or a colour pop, but make sure it connects back to your art or cushions.
4. Select Wall Colours: Choose wall colours that complement your art and other selections. They don’t need to match exactly, but aim for colour harmony. You can choose dark or bright shades, and remember, wall paint is easy to change.
5. Connect Your Furniture: Connect your furniture with your colour scheme. For example, my sofa reflects a darker blue from my painting. You can choose neutrals or lighter shades, but keep it in tune with your overall colour palette.
Get creative and design your own space! Mood boards are great for visualising your ideas! 🌈
