Overcoming Obstacles with Instinctive Meditation Are you curious about meditation but find it hard to stick with a regular practice? Or maybe you’ve tried meditating before and felt like it didn’t “work” for you? You’re not alone—and you haven’t failed. You might just need a different map. Join us for a free introductory class to explore Instinctive Meditation, a unique approach that celebrates your natural instincts and helps you find peace in your own way. What makes Instinctive Meditation different? Honors your individuality: Discover what feels right for you, not just rigid techniques. Trusts your innate wisdom: Tap into your body’s natural ability to relax and heal. Draws from ancient wisdom: Inspired by the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, a timeless guide to meditation. Grounded in science: Learn how meditation supports your mind and body. In this class, you’ll: Experience a short, guided meditation that feels effortless and natural. Learn simple techniques to start or deepen your practice. Understand the principles of Instinctive Meditation—and why there’s no “failure” in meditation. Have time to ask questions and connect. Here’s the thing: Meditation is natural. Your body already knows how to do it. When you sit down to meditate and suddenly feel tired, hungry, restless, or even emotional—those aren’t obstacles. They’re signs of success. Your body and heart are tuning in, showing you what you need. As Lorin Roche, PhD, author of The Radiance Sutras and Meditation Made Easy, says: “Meditation is working—you’re just experiencing it differently than you expected. And that’s exactly how it’s meant to be.” Who’s this for? Beginners curious about meditation. Anyone who’s tried meditating but found it challenging or frustrating. Those seeking a fresh, fulfilling way to connect with themselves. Michael McDowall For over 25 years I have been studying wellness in one form or another, whilst at the same time working with in technical problem solving and people leader roles. I completed Yoga teacher training in 2011, and since 2016 have been studying with and mentored by Dr Lorin Roche and his partner Camille Maurine, authors of numerous books on meditation including Meditation Made Easy, and Meditation Secrets for Women. Today I lead the Faculty of the Radiance Sutras School of Meditation. Our number one challenge is reshaping people’s thinking about what meditation is, getting away from the old idea of a monk sitting crossed legged, stopping thoughts, suppressing emotions. I love it when I see people GET IT!!!! That meditation can be a rich sensory, enlivening experience while producing all the benefits of deep rest, relaxation, healing and clarity. Meditation is tuning oneself for life. Kimberley Marshall For over 20 years I have been exploring ways to change patterns, improve how I live in the world and how I relate with others. This journey started with the gift of Reiki while I was living in the beauty of Far North Queensland. Since then I have been raising three beautiful children while continuing to be involved in women's groups like Being Woman and Every Woman Gathering I began my Yoga journey as a way to come back to myself and connect with my breath and body. This led me to begin my Yoga Teacher training in 2017. Since then I have completed 200 hrs Level 1 YTT, 150 hrs Level 11 YTT, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and I have also completed Rainbow Kids Yoga Teacher Training. In 2018 I discovered Instinctive Meditation® and since then have completed the Radiance Sutras School of Meditation 200-hour Teacher Training and 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training
